Tim is a family trust and estate planning lawyer who understands how important it is to plan for your loved ones and to ensure that your minor children would be taken care of if something happens to you. 

 

As a son, a brother, an uncle, and friend, Tim, in discussion with family and other loved ones, has asked some real-life questions that you likely have asked yourself:  

 

“How do I make sure my parents are taken care of in their older age?"

 

"What were to happen to my family if something happened to me?"

 

Many of Tim’s loved ones have asked him:

 

"What would happen to my children if something happened to me and my wife? Who would then raise the kids, and how would they be raised?"

 

"What could I do to make sure that my family are taken care of physically and financially if am no longer here?”   

 

The main thing Tim loves about being an Estate Planning attorney is that he has the privilege of helping people and their families who all share this same sense of duty to protect their family and loved ones.

 

He enjoys raising awareness and talking about estate planning issues, educating those in his community about the importance of planning for yourself and loved ones. Helping his community understand the consequences of failing to plan vs. creating a plan has been, and continues to be, a meaningful and rewarding experience for him. 

 

Tim has worked as corporate and privacy attorney at law firms and corporations in Southern California for over 10 years.

He has worked extensively on corporate and data privacy matters for various fortune 100 companies in California.

 

Nowadays, Tim uses his corporate and privacy experiences to help people in his community design and create personalized estate plans that ensures to protect their loved ones. 

 

Having lived in Kobe and Tokyo, Japan, in addition to various areas of the U.S., helps him understand people from different cultures where the laws may differ significantly from the laws of the United States.

 

Thus, Tim’s priority is to make sure that he explains how U.S. laws work in a simple and easy way so that his clients fully understand:

 

1) the estate plan that is drafted and customized for them

 

2) how his client’s plan meets the requirements of U.S. laws, and most importantly

 

3) why his client’s family will be able to rely on the estate plan when and if something were to happen to his client

 

Outside of work, Tim enjoys practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and watching Dodgers baseball and USC football. He also loves going to the movies, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and learning new crafts. Tim has lived in both the U.S. and Japan and is also fluent in Japanese.
